{"id":708,"date":"2009-12-22T20:12:01","date_gmt":"2009-12-23T01:12:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fredman.org\/blog\/?p=708"},"modified":"2009-12-22T20:12:01","modified_gmt":"2009-12-23T01:12:01","slug":"into-the-pigs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fredman.org\/blog\/2009\/12\/22\/into-the-pigs","title":{"rendered":"into the pigs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Every night  around 8:45, the end of Titus\u2019 \u201cpreparing for bed\u201d ritual includes a race to his  bed.\u00a0 Whoever gets there first gets to read the Bible  story.<\/p>\n<p>Last night  Titus won the race, so I flipped his Bible story book open and handed him the  story of Jesus casting demons into the pigs.\u00a0 Titus talked a little  about \u201cJesus\u201d and \u201cGod\u201d just because most Bible stories seem to include them,  and then he started describing the pictures in his deliberate, sing-song-y  reading voice.\u00a0 This was his story:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd the  pigs were angry.\u00a0 They were very angry.\u00a0 And they  couldn\u2019t find the barn!\u00a0 Where is the barn?\u00a0 They  couldn\u2019t find it.\u00a0 We\u2019re looking for the barn!\u00a0 I  don\u2019t see the barn.\u00a0 I don\u2019t want to go to the water, I want to go  to the barn.\u00a0 And they couldn\u2019t find the barn.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I suppose we  all would get a little grumpy if we couldn&#8217;t find our home!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Every night around 8:45, the end of Titus\u2019 \u201cpreparing for bed\u201d ritual includes a race to his bed.\u00a0 Whoever gets there first gets to read the Bible story.
