This past Friday-Sunday, Sarah was out of town and the boys were stuck with Daddy (On Monday Auntie Alyssa and Ollie gave them a break).\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0My goals for the weekend were simple:\u00a0 Enjoy the outdoors, run the wheels off the boys, and avoid making any other goals for the weekend!\u00a0 Here\u2019s my breakdown of the weekend.<\/p>\n

Conclusions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Thanks to the woods nearby our house, we will learn if either of our boys has a resistance to poison ivy (or as Titus calls it, \u201cNivey\u201d) by the end of the summer.<\/li>\n
  2. The best kids-eat-free restaurant deals are CiCi\u2019s Pizza<\/a> (total bill: $6), Qdoba<\/a> (total bill: $9), and Denny\u2019s<\/a>.\u00a0 CiCi\u2019s price will increase by 60% once Titus is 4; Qdoba actually has a one-for-one deal, but I managed to wrangle it into two free kids meals; and we didn\u2019t get a chance to try out Denny\u2019s.<\/li>\n
  3. The house stays cleaner if you only use it for sleeping.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \nHow I appreciate Sarah more after this weekend:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. She feeds the kids well.\u00a0 For some reason, adding broccoli to a meal of tuna fish sandwiches is a lot of work!\u00a0 A sub-point: this includes her efforts to keep the grocery bills low.<\/li>\n
    2. She talks to our children.\u00a0 During lunch on Sunday, I realized that we had been sitting in complete silence for almost 10 minutes.\u00a0 I hadn\u2019t been keeping the running narrative that she usually keeps, and after 2 days our boys forgot how to talk.<\/li>\n
    3. I\u2019m tired!\u00a0 And I didn\u2019t even touch<\/span> the laundry\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
