Horrified Mother!

I often realize how much I underestimate the power of proper motivation.  Asher is semi-mobile (scooting on his belly) but often is not too motivated to leave the spot he is in because his big brother delivers anything he wants right to his lap.  However, I saw a new Asher and more motivated than ever before just now.  We just finished lunch and I was sweeping up the various remants of both breakfast and lunch while Asher lay on the floor near the kitchen door.  I saw him make a little scoot but wasn’t too worried and turned my back to continue the sweeping.  Just a few seconds later I turned back around to find my baby eating cheerios from the dust pile on the other side of the kitchen!  I was definitely horrified and even though I know they will likely eat much worse things, this was more that I would like to admit happened on my watch.  Needless to say, I am skipping the picture today because I did not take time to pause and capture the moment on camera before removing Asher and getting rid of the dust pile…which might I add made Asher cry and sent him scooting toward the garbage can with a vengeance!

That’s a great story! Do you know how exactly he does his scooting? Is it head down into the ground and bottom up? You’ll have to set up a secret camera the next time you are sweeping up cheerios.

Asher is an easy going baby from any way you look at it — Makes no difference to him if he eats Cheerios with dust, or Cheerios without. I can’t wait to see him scoot.

he he he… that’s funny. You need a dog to clean up those left overs. Riley is an excellent vacuum for misc tidbits of yummy.

That is funny! Seems everytime I turn around Anika finds a tiny piece of something to put in her mouth. I don’t even know where she finds 1/2 of the stuff. Sheesh. You can’t turn your back on those kids for a second. Those 2 are getting so big. They are so cute! Look at you go to town posting pictures and stuff! I am impressed! Way to go!
