All About the Kids

Our sled hike adventures continued today, and we chatted with “Trail Santa”, a volunteer patrolman with a long white beard and red uniform. I guarantee that if anyone ever breaks an ankle, Silas will be certain that Trail Santa will rescue us!

So Silas acted injured a number of times. Pretty impressive patience for a 4 year old!

We also found a pretty good lookout tree.

And ended the sled hike with a pretty scary tree encounter. At least Silas was pretty sure that Trail Santa was required after smashing into this tree…

Silas and I went on a little “sled hike” this afternoon while his brothers were cross country skiing. When I asked him later about which animal footprints we saw in the snow, he said “kangaroo”. That would’ve been pretty cool…

…and a big 4 years old tomorrow!
