Titus likes his binoculars!
As the older boys and I left the house tonight, Zeke cried…in spite of the fact that Sarah ge was sitting right by him. I think my baby finally likes me!
Sarah was in the car with the boys when it started to snow.
Asher exclaimed, “We need a carrot!”
Titus followed with, “We need arms!”
Asher finished with, “I need a saw!”
I guess they remembered what we did with the first snow last year…but I’m pretty sure we didn’t use a saw to cut arms for our snowman.

Sarah and Beth ran the 5k, Titus and Asher each ran a race with their age groups.
Asher’s race went something like this: At the word “Go!”, Asher slowly shuffled his feet around the 200 meter track. A couple minutes later, Titus, Zeke, and I found Asher still shuffling along at the 100 meter mark. I grabbed Asher’s hand, and we all had a great sprint back to the finish line!
Titus’ race went something like this: At the word “Go!”, Titus leapt off the line with a snarl. At his halfway point he wasn’t snarling anymore, and by the time he crossed the finish line he told Sarah, “I thought I was going to win. Some other children won. But I wasn’t last! That’s good Mommy!”
I had the chance to take Titus to school this past Monday. Titus was eager to dress up in his knight costume, and Asher was quick to assume that he should wear his dragon costume, too. We hung out for a while at school till Titus’ teacher came to pick him up. Then Asher and I headed back home. As we were driving quietly back home, Asher said in a low, sad voice, “Titus is my best friend
At first it made me pretty sad to see that poor, dejected dragon strapped to his carseat while his best friend spent the day having fun with his classmates at school. Then I figured it’s pretty great that the two of them get to spend so much of the rest of their time together!
