Sleepy Baby

Here’s a fun picture of our sleepy boy.  He’s had a couple doctors appointments since being born, and is putting on weight.  Things are good and healthy!

You Know You’re a Father of Boys When…

…you ignore the Google-maps-recommended fastest route home in favor of the roads that are most likely to have construction…just so you can see bulldozers and backhoes in action!

Storks and Bonds

Asher was sitting, holding Zeke tonight.  He had the following conversation with Sarah:

Asher: Who bought Zeke?

Sarah: Auntie Loann bought Zeke’s clothes.

Asher: (with a little more force this time) Who bought Zeke?

Sarah had the difficult task of explaining how we came into such a amazing find without having to pay a cent.  Asher grinned.

Baby Zeke’s my Brother?!

I was sitting in Titus and Asher’s room, putting the older boys to bed.  I was sitting on the floor, holding Zeke:

Me: Be careful, you just kicked your brother in the head!

Titus: Who, me?

Me: No, Asher just kicked Zeke in the head.

Asher: Baby Zeke’s my brother?!

I give that “lesson learned” one out of two points.  Asher couldn’t care less what happened to Zeke’s head, but he sure was excited to figure out who this Zeke character was!

Zeke

We’re happy to welcome Zeke to the Fredman family!  Here’s a picture of the whole crew around midnight of the 23rd.  Titus and Asher were pretty excited to see their little brother.  Titus was eager to hold and kiss Zeke, Asher was concerned about all the “blood” on his reddish-purply little bro, so he would only kiss Zeke’s hat!

We saw a glimpse of eyes that first night.  The flash from the camera seemed to be about the only thing that would convince him to open his eyes–in a nice little scowl.

Zeke loves his mommy.  Even in the first two days, he seems to sooth to her voice faster than mine (Andy).  Here’s some cuddle time!
