Thomas or Football?

Yesterday we were eating lunch at Qdoba (kids eat free Sundays!). Titus was staring intently at the Vikings game with his quesadilla dangling out of his mouth, when Sarah asked him, “Titus, do you like to watch Thomas better, or football better?” Titus responded, “I like football, there’s bigger guys that run over stuff.”

That’s my boy!

“…and they do somersaults!”

C’mon, he’s still four…

Big helper

Tonight after dinner Titus cleared the table, emptying the plates in the garbage and putting dishes by the sink. Then he spilled some crumbs on the floor, swept them up, and washed the table. All by himself! That’s a big helper!

Rabbit Ears

Titus was playing at the couch at 1:50 this afternoon, when his head popped up, eyes wide open. I asked, “Titus, what do you see?” He responded, “I sink I hear somesing.” “Was it the washing machine downstairs?” He concluded, “No, I sink it was Papa and Nana’s garage door opening.”

They started the 120 mile drive back to their house mid-morning. I sink Titus has some incredible ears!

State Fair Update

Well, Sarah was awfully proud that Titus, Asher, and (most of all) I made it 13 hours at the State Fair yesterday.

Some highlights:
Titus’ favorite food: Cinnamon Roasted Almonds
Asher’s favorite ride: The frog hopper
Best date event with Sarah: Apple cider and the Bonsai trees (she bought one today) in the Horticulture Building
Asher’s favorite place to sleep: On his daddy, right next to ‘Monster Shop Bump’n with BC Characters’, a [loud] family break dancing show
Titus’ best comment (while taking a rest outside the International Bazaar): “Nana, this is a lot.”
Results of my “who can eat more different fair foods” competition with Mom (Steffen): Hands down, I lost.

Mommy, If Daddy turned into a ground hog…

“…then he would turn into a skunk!
If Daddy turned into a skunk…
…then he would turn into a cow!
If Daddy turned into a cow…
…then he would turn into a bird!
If Daddy turned into a bird,
…then he would turn into a pig!
If Daddy turned into a pig…
…then he would splash in the mud!
If Daddy turned into a pig,
…then he would turn into Daddy!”
