Titus had his 2 month doctor’s appointment yesterday, complete with 4 immunization shots! Sarah had to hold his elbows while 2 nurses each stuck two shots in each thigh. Doesn’t sound fun to me! Sarah said that Titus turned bright red and started wailing pretty heartily until she picked him up, and then he acted like nothing happened. It’s funny how slowly babies respond to pain, I suppose because they aren’t anticipating it. It’s also funny how well they recover, I suppose because the pain has decreased so significantly in their mind.Â

His latest numbers are 14 lbs, 25″ tall, with a 17″ head diameter. You know, babies’ heads have always looked pretty big to me, especially compared to adults, but I figured it was because their heads didn’t grow as fast as the rest of them. Evidentially that is not the case…I think Titus’s head started out at around 13″, which means it has increased in size by 30% since he’s been born! Compare that to height (9% increase), and weight (22% increase), and the little guy’s head is just growing like a watermelon!
