Starving Children

Seriously, you would think that I never feed my children!  I remember my Grandma saying “eat everything on your plate…there are starving children in Africa.”  Although I don’t agree with a few aspects of that phrase I can say that I have never been even tempted to say that to my children…no troubles eating too little here!  Yesterday I was helping Titus go to the bathroom and came out to the kitchen to find Asher nibbling on some cantaloupe rinds…out of the garbage.  And yes, there were a few things he dug through to get to the rinds…ish!!  Then today Titus was taking a long time to get into the van and I found out the reason was that he was scavenging the leftover craisins Asher had dropped into the crevices of his carseat and of course eating them himself.  Luckily the craisin snack had occured today and so I wasn’t as concerned as I have been when I catch him eating a snack remnant that I can’t remember even having in the car.  Oof, maybe not a proud mommy moment but my children are certainly not starving!

This story is so funny!!! I shared it with my roommate, and we both got quite a laugh out of the scavengers 🙂 We decided they have very good survival instincts 🙂

Lol…so…is it good or bad that if Blake is getting impatient in the car my first instinct is to search the floor for leftover cheerios? :-/
