Tonight I brought Titus and Asher to the basement to start a “project”. We grabbed some tools and wood, and went to Titus’ room to work on it. I had the boys try to guess what we were making. Some of Titus’ answers: a bridge, a diving board, and railroad tracks. Finally, when he was helping me attach the assembly to the bed, Titus exclaimed “a ladder!”
Both boys were giddy about the idea, and Titus is spending his first night in the top bunk!
…then I had to spend 5 minutes before our bedtime story explaining why Titus shouldn’t be scared of the monsters on the top bunk…thanks Stan and Jan.
That is great. I think it is so funny that if a child isn’t afraid of something, a book can make them afraid of it!
