I’ve had a special request for more baby news–I guess it’s a little tough to write about the baby when there are so many fun stories to tell about Titus (which I never seem get around to writing about either)!
So the scoop on the new baby:
We had a 36 week ultrasound where the baby measured 8 lbs. 9 oz., give or take a pound.
That’s pretty big.
Given the typical growth rate of half a pound per week, that would put us in the range of 9 1/2 lbs. to 11 1/2 lbs. at 40 weeks (full term). Of course, the doctor Sarah was seeing with Titus wondered if he may have grown more than half a pound per week during those last few weeks. I’ll let you do the math…
So needless to say, we’re concerned that this baby may be Titus-sized or larger. The midwife scheduled Sarah to be induced on May 13th, her due date, to limit the risk of having a really, really big baby.
In short, tomorrow will mark 1 week or less till the new baby arrives! It couldn’t come sooner for Sarah, and as for me…well, a coworker with 4 kids of his own commented the other day, “you’d better start saving up on sleep!”
