Left Handed / Right Brained

It was just a few days ago that Andy was commenting on how neat it was that Asher was left handed like he was!  We were talking about how it will be fun to see if that left handed/right brained aspect of Asher makes him have creative and artistic strengths like Andy.  Really, whatever my kids end up having as strengths will be great with me but it is fun to think about and see if we can catches glimpses already of what they will be like later in life.

Anyhow, yesterday morning I took a quick (and I mean really quick!) shower.  I had set Titus and Asher up in front of a Thomas movie.  Titus is really into a tattling phase and so I assumed that if Asher left his designated spot that I would hear about it immediately.  What I didn’t consider was that Titus likes Thomas WAY more than he like to tattle on his little brother.  I came out of the bathroom and heard Asher playing in Titus’ room.  I try to keep the boys’ rooms pretty kid proofed so I wasn’t too worried and just started to poke my head in the room to double check.  Asher immediately shut the door and so I proceeded to get ready, assuming all was fine.  Well, a few minutes later I went to get Asher out of the bedroom and found that he had somehow climbed up the closet shelves to get the crayons and had then proceeded to color all over the wood floors and the back side of the door!

All that being said, I think maybe right brained isn’t all it’s cracked up to be =)

Didn’t you just tell me the other day why you don’t shower at home? Atleast it was the back side of the door.

I think you may have a Picasso in your family! I know he shouldn’t have done it, but that grin is perfect. That will teach you to let Titus watch Thomas during your shower. I think Titus is mesmerized during a Thomas DVD. You didn’t say if the crayon comes off =) Good thing we all love him sooooo much!.

I was thinking about Asher last night and hoping he did not get into too much trouble and I remembered when you drew all over Grandma and Grandpa’s wall. You were definitely old enough to know better, 3 years old! It did not wash off and your Dad was elected to repaint for Grandma and Grandpa =)

Great picture(s)! the one you took and the one Asher drew:). What a great story of your left-handed boy.

I love this!! What a cute story 🙂 And this will be a good story to tell as he keeps going with his little artist personality!
