This is only the beginning!

This semester I am doing an ECFE class with Asher and it is truly humorous to me that every time we walk in the room, the teacher and the aides have to stop themselves mid-sentence from saying “Hi Titus” and switching it to “Hi Asher.”  I suppose I don’t have a whole lot of natural sympathy since both Andy and I are first borns and have never really experienced this.  Still, I can’t help but to wonder how much Asher might dislike this some day.  It’s funny because in my mind my two kids are SO very different that it’s hard to believe one could be mistaken for the other.  Anyhow, I would welcome any wisdom from non-first borns as to how to best approach this in coming years.

And here is a random brother picture from our trip to Legoland just for fun =)

HA! Are you kidding?! I love it! It was my ultimate goal in high school for my teachers to first and best know Paul as “Anne’s brother.”
But- that’s another firstborn for you. 😉

Love the picture! If I put in my two cents as the youngest child. My sister and I even look alike, but it really didn’t happen all that often. If it did, it never bothered me. I think once they get older, it won’t really be an issue. Yes, he’ll be referred to as Titus’ brother, but I think the name confusion more comes with looking alike. I don’t think it’s something you’ll need to worry to much about. Plus, us non-first borns were made to go with the flow! 🙂

I agree with Sarah – Amy probably faced it more than me, but now everyone has switched over and I get called Amy ALL the time. I like being associated with my siblings!

To confirm Alyssa’s statement, I did get it a LOT 🙂 In high school I finally learned to just answer to it because it saved time! There was a time in my younger and more picky life that I found it bothersome, but now I don’t mind it at all – I’ll agree with Alyssa on it being fun to be associated with my siblings!! And I LOVE the picture from legoland – so, so cute!! Titus has a very protective hand holding thing going on there 🙂
