The Latest Asher Specs

Asher had his 4 month appointment today.  Here are the doctor’s findings:

Height: 27.5″ (over 97th percentile)

Weight: 18 lbs, 4 oz (over 95th percentile)

Head Circumference: 44.8 cm (over 97th percentile)

…so he’s kinda tall and scrawny, but his chubby cheeks certainly don’t indicate that he’s lacking nutrition!  As a matter of fact, his doctor guessed that we may be able to fix some of his recently declining sleeping habits by starting him on some cereal, so Asher gets to try some oatmeal.  Be ready for some good pictures!

Storyteller

Titus is becoming quite a storyteller. He always offers a unique, concise, and typically descriptive take on things. I’ve included a few of his better stories below, along with translation and background information when necessary.

“Up-dair…pshhhhh!” (while running his hand down his face)

Translation: I was walking down the stairs, fell, and got a rug burn on my face as I slid down.

“Teh-tus bade, boom! Lar…”

Translation: I fell out of bed, boom! Onto the floor.

“Mah-mah, wa-ter, [cough, cough]!” (sticking his tongue out while coughing)

Translation: Mom threw up, and it looked like water.

I think Sarah really likes it when Titus tells that last story.  I’m just glad that when I had the flu, I was throwing up in the middle of the night.  That way, Titus wasn’t standing right next to me watching with rapt attention as I lost my supper!

Snowflakes

It’s funny to watch your two boys start to grow up and realize that they may act or look identical at one time, and then act or look completely opposite at another time. One of the funny (or not so funny when he’s being disobedient) trademark Titus looks is his “cool stare”. As I was flipping through some pictures tonight, I noticed the “cool stare” coming from Asher as well! I thought it was funny enough to warrant a blog entry:

3 Months Old

So Asher is 3 months old now, and I have a new picture gallery to show for it! He’s quite the talker already, and likes to smile at random things. It’s a load of fun, having such a happy little guy cooing and smiling at people and things as quickly as Asher does!
