Asher & Ollie

1859

We sent Paul, Alyssa, and Oliver off to PA this past week. It’s a bummer to see them go, not only because I won’t have an opportunity to beat them at Settlers in the near future, but because Asher and Ollie will both have grown another 50% by the next time we see them! Anyways, we took a couple more pictures of Asher and Ollie hanging out together.

Favorite Phrases

Titus has been putting many words together into phrases these past few months. He’s also getting better at correcting his words to be the right pronunciations, so Sarah and I are already starting to miss the way he used to say things. Below is a sample of some of our favorite Titus phrases, along with their English meanings.

Asher’s 2 Month Specs

Asher had a doctor’s appointment last week, and he’s growing as expected–like a weed!

Height: 25 1/2″
Weight: 13 lb 11 oz
Head Diameter: 41.5 cm (~16 1/2″)

So he’s gained 3 lbs, and grown 2 1/2″ in 2 months.  It’s fun to see him next to his new little cousin, who wasn’t exactly a small baby either!

Amen!

Titus likes to punctuate the end of a prayer with the word “Amen!” In fact, if you take too long at dinner, he will end the prayer extra early (we’re working on that one)!

Last weekend we went to a wedding. As I was walking around with Titus off to the side of the room, the pastor got up to pray for the food at the reception. I told Titus that we were praying, and he did a great job of being quiet and still throughout the prayer. As soon as the pastor had finished, and before the room noise had a chance to ramp back up, Titus let out the loudest “Amen!” you’ve ever heard! The whole room turned to face us (standing in the corner and quite visible), laughed and clapped their approval!

…I think that I might pass him off to Sarah the next time I see a prayer coming in a room full of people!
